The year, in filing order
For a 31 March company the practical order is DPT-3, AGM, ADT-1, financial statements, annual return. An LLP skips the AGM and uses two fixed dates.
Step 1
DPT-3 by 30 June
Outstanding money as on 31 March, whether or not it is a deposit.
Step 2
AGM
Within six months of the year end unless the Registrar extends it. The first AGM has its own nine-month rule.
Step 3
ADT-1 within 15 days of the AGM
Only when an auditor is appointed. A five-year term does not mean five ADT-1 forms.
Step 4
AOC-4 within 30 days
On these figures the company is outside the listed, capital and turnover XBRL classes.
Step 5
MGT-7A within 60 days
Position as on the close of the financial year, filed after the AGM.
Step 6
CSR-2 if section 135 applies
File with the financial statements. Do not treat a nil current-year profit as the end of the test.
